Verdion gears up for a year of growth

Verdion has strengthened its team structure as the business prepares for further growth in the year ahead.

Executive Director John Clements takes formal responsibility for leading both the Nordics and UK activity, strengthening Verdion’s focus in the Nordics region following significant momentum in the past few years, while continuing to oversee the UK business. With the new role and title Executive Director – Head of Nordics & UK, John will spearhead all investment and development initiatives in Sweden and Denmark, driving forward Verdion’s business plans and representing the region at Board level. He will continue to work closely with Verdion’s Head of Investment – Nordics, Peter Michael Tetzlaff.

  • Within the Nordics team, Jacob Rasmussen has been promoted to Technical Director – Nordics, expanding his role to cover both Sweden and Denmark. Based in Copenhagen, Jacob oversees all Verdion’s development activity in the region, from due diligence and concept design to technical specification and project execution – working across urban logistics, complex build to suit and other projects, reporting to Chief Technical Officer Peter Peeters, who leads Verdion’s technical capability at Group level.
  • Fredrik Salman has been promoted to Investment Director on the same team. Based in Stockholm, he leads the sourcing and execution of Verdion’s investment and development activities in Sweden, focussed on both brown- and greenfield opportunities in strategic locations and near major population centres.

 

In Germany, under the leadership of new Country Manager Moritz Heißenberg, Tobias Heinz becomes Head of Technical Development – Germany. In this newly created role, he will oversee all Verdion’s development activity, from site appraisal and acquisition through to project execution and delivery, working closely with Verdion’s investment and commercial teams and ensuring leading-edge standards of specification, energy efficiency and sustainability. Tobias will continue to report to Group Chief Technical Officer Peter Peeters.

  • Executive Director, André Banschus will focus on and lead the commercial requirements for Verdion Javelin Park Niederrhein, Germany’s largest development site, which is entirely controlled by Verdion and extends to 158 ha west of Düsseldorf. Marc Haverkamp, Technical Director – Javelin Park, will lead on the delivery of 600,000 sqm+ of large-scale industrial and logistics buildings at the park and the new transport and clean energy infrastructure that will support them.
  • Investment Director, Oliver Kemper, and Senior Leasing & Development Manager, Sebastian Achten, continue within the Germany leadership team. Dominik Schäffer continues to oversee asset management at Group level, reporting to Simon Walter who also continues to be responsible for all Verdion’s fund and investment activity in all geographies.
